28th Annual Meeting of the RSSB

About the conference

RSSB2021 is the 28th Annual Meeting of the Royal Statistical Society of Belgium. This edition of the annual meeting is organized by the University of Liège.

Early June, the Board of the RSSB has confirmed its wish to organize the annual meeting of October 2021 in a face-to-face setting. We are therefore really happy to announce that the 28th annual meeting of the RSSB will take place in Liège on October 21 and 22, 2021!

Unfortunately, our initial partnership with Palais des Congrès was stopped by the Palais at the end of August due to major damages in the conference room, heating and ventilation systems during the floods in July. A last minute solution has been found in the Campus of ULiège located in the center of Liège. Even though it is not as convenient as the Palais des Congrès, the Campus “Van Beneden” of ULiège can be reached in a 13-minute walk along the Meuse and we are looking forward to welcoming you there.

Rest assured that we will do our best to ensure a covid safe and confortable scientific meeting in Liège.

Early bird registration is open until the 6th of September (registration remaining open after that date with a 15€ increase per day). A preliminary program is already available.

Special focus of the 2021 edition :

Statistics and probability developments
for high dimensional/big data and artificial intelligence

The meeting is scheduled over TWO days (for all participants). A mini HACKATHON is organized on Friday 22 October: PhD-candidates, as well as their supervisors and more senior researchers, are welcome to register in teams of 3/4 members in order to join this friendly competition!
